On July 1, 2022, the sharpening specialist VOLLMER joined ultraTEC with a majority stake, which will operate in the future as ultraTEC innovation GmbH. Thanks to VOLLMER's experience, we have a strong partner at our side who, as a strategic investor, wants to have as little impact as possible on our innovative spirit and start-up character. Due to its worldwide structures, VOLLMER sees its task in offering ultraTEC the opportunity to advance our innovative and patented ultrasonic deburring technology with its own ultrasonic horn development. Furthermore, global sales and service for existing and future machines can be expanded and improved.

The idea came about during a project on the machine deburring of bone screws made of titanium as part of Jugend Forscht. The two young researchers, Jonas Münz and Jakob Rehberger, received the 2019 Federal President's Award for their exceptional work. They were supervised by Dieter Münz.

ultraTEC Anlagentechnik Münz GmbH was founded by Iris and Dieter Münz. The company produces innovative ultrasonic deburring machines. This is a much more efficient and economical process than conventional methods.
